TABLE OF CONTENTS.

YOUTH.

- Born in Starfall, 281 AC- Son of Ashara Dayne & Ned Stark → conceived at the tourney of Harrenhal in the year of the false spring, 281.- Twin brother of Nymella Sand, adopted son of Lord Alaric and Lady Valena Dayne.- Named for both Prince Doran Martell and for the ancient Dayne king Vorian Dayne, the Sword of the Evening and the last Dayne king.- Towards the end of the rebellion, Ashara threw herself from the Palestone sword tower in Starfall when Ned arrived to inform her that he had slain her brother and had returned Dawn to her family. (Loss of brother, learning that her lover was married & believing one of her twin children died).- Ned would stay in Starfall for a time and mourn Ashara while the wetnurse Wylla cared for Lyanna’s son, and would be convinced by Lord Ulrick to let the bastard twins and the baby girl Eddard brought with him to remain at Starfall so they might have a better life here than in Winterfell.- The three would be raised alongside one another at Starfall and would eventually be joined by Lord Ulrick’s own son Edric – named after Ned Stark, and were all oblivious to their true heritage.- Dorian was given a full education consisting of reading, writing and sums though he preferred history above all else.
He was also taught how to play the lute at the request of his aunt Valena so he might know something other than swordplay. He would often play for his aunt Allyria when it came to entertaining her guests.
- Dorian was also taught how to fight from a young age, being squired to the Dayne master-at-arms.
Taught how to wield two swords at once, but excelled in the use of greatswords.
- Around the same time, Dorian would be brought to court by his aunt and uncle, and would be formally introduced to the Martell family. Doran and Oberyn knew the truth.
Due to Elia & Oberyn’s friendship with Ashara, Dorian was given exceptional privileges in court.
- Taught by Oberyn how to fight with a spear, how to fight dirty/remain unpredictable and tutored in poisons and herbology.
Groomed him into becoming a deadly warrior whose loyalty was to House Martell.
His relationship with The Martells angered his cousin Gerold.
- Visited Volantis with Prince Oberyn.- Knighted at age 17 after a Melee at Sunspear by his uncle.
Would also assist his uncle, the Master-at-arms and members of House Blackmont in driving off a band of pirates from the Torrentine.

SEASON ONE.

- Came to King’s Landing after a raven declared Ned Stark as Hand of the King and wished to meet his father for the first time. Trials would take place upon his return to determine whether or not he was a suitable candidate to wield Dawn and become the Sword of the Morning.- Met with Ned Stark not long after his arrival.-While initially awkward, the pair would soon talk about his mother and half-siblings. Dorian would tell him all about Nymella.- Dorian would be invited to stay in the Tower of the Hand as a guest and would join Ned’s own retinue. Would promise not to tell his sisters about who he was to them.- Met Sansa and Arya.
Accompanied his father to meet the King, who insisted on seeing Dorian fight in the upcoming melee.
- He did, but was defeated by Thoros of Myr. He was also unseated by Loras Tyrell. Became acquainted with both afterwards.- Was present in the throne room when the Mountain was branded an enemy of the realm, volunteered to ride out with Beric Dondarrion, who was betrothed to his aunt.- Was only vaguely aware of his father’s investigation, but knew that Ned was weary of it.- After Robert died and Ned was arrested, Dorian was arrested for being a conspirator. Was unofficially a political prisoner at the King’s mercy.- Would likely be released if Ned confessed that he lied about Joffrey's parentage.- Was made to watch Ned die from the front row, mere feet away from both of his sisters.

SEASON TWO.

- Was kept in King’s Landing until Tyrion arrived in the city, where he was given better quarters and treated as a guest.
Didn’t eat very much in the city. Lost weight.
- Was sent back to Dorne prior to the battle of the Blackwater with Myrcella and Ser Arys Oakheart to help repair relations with Dorne.- Despised King’s Landing, the Lannisters and Joffrey Baratheon. Wanted to avenge his father.- Upon his return to Dorne, he was greeted by his aunt and Oberyn Martell.- Dorian could finally grieve; he told his sisters and aunt about what had happened in the city.- Became disillusioned with the necessity of honor: believed it would only get those he cared about hurt as it did his father and uncle Arthur.- Began to lean into the mindset Oberyn had fostered in him more.
Was angry; often quick to temper.
- Wanted to ride north and join Robb in his own rebellion in The North and The Riverlands. Alaric advised caution and that he stay and complete the trials. His aunt Valena urged him to do whatever he wished so long as he made the choice himself and for himself.- Was summoned to The Water Gardens by Doran Martell when he recovered; Doran would ask Dorian about the Sword of the Morning and the likelihood of him becoming it, and about where his loyalties lay. Dorian, seeing exactly what he was asking, reaffirmed his loyalties to House Martell, though was rather bitter about the lack of action.- He would remain in The Water Gardens for a few more days, and was contacted by Arianne Martell about his meeting with her father. Possibly interested in joining her conspiracy.- Would begin to train under Oberyn again, furthering his skill and knowledge of poisons.- Used his training and the time he had out on the field as an outlet for his anger.

SEASONS TWO - THREE

- Now known as a remarkably talented swordsman throughout Dorne, Dorian became aware that his uncle and the Master-at-arms were keeping an eye on him to determine whether or not he would indeed be a worthy contender to wield Dawn.- Would be summoned by his uncle to discuss his future. Alaric informed him that while he was undoubtedly talented enough to wield Dawn, he was walking a dangerous path. Was warned not to allow his anger and vengeance to consume him and turn him into something he wasn’t.- Was asked which quality was most important for a knight: Loyalty to one’s liege, one’s reverence for the Gods or one’s duty to defend the innocent.- Would spend much time contemplating the question, and would ask his confidants who had also been knighted to inform his decision. Master-at-arms told him that the answer had to come from Dorian and Dorian alone, and that nobody could answer it for him.- Would come to the conclusion that being a knight meant one had a duty to protect the innocent and defend the weak first and foremost, followed by one’s loyalty to their liege and belief in the Faith of the Seven.- As a result of him being both a Stark and in line for the legendary sword Dawn, a blade which undoubtedly had a role in the War for the Dawn, Dorian was one of many figures who caught Bloodraven’s attention.- As a result of his bloodline, Bloodraven influenced the Dayne Council responsible for determining his candidacy.- And so, Dorian was named Sword Of The Morning at the turn of the century. Ravens sent out across Westeros altering the rest of the seven kingdoms about this development.- After being named Sword of the Morning, Dorian would receive worrying dreams. (Visions sent to him by Bloodraven to prompt him to venture North.)- Despite this, Dorian would remain in Dorne for a time.- Celebrations would be held in Starfall, in which many would come from all across Dorne to congratulate him.- Among these would be Oberyn Martell, who would ask Dorian to accompany him to King’s Landing. Dorian informed him that he would have an answer soon.

SEASON 3 - 4

- Dorian would remain present as tensions in Dorne grew despite his dreams intensifying, feeling as though he would be needed if war was to come to Dorne.- For this reason, he would refuse Oberyn’s offer to join him in King’s Landing for the royal wedding.- He would visit Sunspear for a time, and there would be approached by Arianne Martell about accompanying her on her journeys. For a time, he would accompany her as she went about her scheming, who appealed to his bubbling desire for vengeance.- He wasn’t unopposed to the idea of crowning Myrcella Baratheon, knowing how it would strike a blow to the Lannister dynasty.- But before long, word came from King’s Landing that Joffrey Baratheon was killed at his own wedding, and that Sansa Stark and her husband Tyrion were suspected of kingslaying.- He would also learn that Sansa had escaped the city.- The news would cause Dorian to immediately return to Starfall where he approached his aunt, asking for her advice on the matter.- His aunt would once again urge him to do whatever it is he felt was right for him, so long as he makes the choice himself and accepts whatever the consequences would be.- With his sisters Nymella and Sansa missing, and with no word of Arya, Dorian decided that he would venture forth and bring his sisters home to Starfall where they would be safe.- He would bid farewell to his aunt, and would write a letter to his uncle apologizing for leaving without facing him, urging him to keep an eye on Gerold. He would write a letter to Sunspear for Oberyn to read upon his arrival informing him of his intentions.- Dorian would then set sail up The Torrentine, and would arrive at Blackmont where he would venture from Dorne, through The Reach and make his way to The Riverlands, where he knew Sansa’s relatives The Tullys ruled, believing she may have fled to Riverrun.- During his journey, he would witness the aftermath of the War of the Five Kings, seeing villages and farmsteads burned down. Dorian would encounter cutthroats and deserters, though was able to dispatch any with relative ease.- Witnessing what the war had wrought only reaffirmed his beliefs, now believing that he couldn’t in good conscience pretend he was a knight when there were knights who just as easily turned their swords on the innocent, just as they did to his father.- Dorian would come to accept Oberyn’s teachings.- He would learn that after The Red Wedding, Riverrun fell under siege by House Frey. He would also hear stories of men who fought back against House Frey led by Beric Dondarrion. Dorian suspected that Beric and his men might be the best bet to help him.- He would occasionally stop in villages or inns and would ask around about Beric Dondarrion and his men.- As a result of him asking, he would eventually find himself ambushed by the Brotherhood without Banners, demanding to know why he was looking for them.- Dorian would request to see Beric and suspected that Thoros of Myr was among them. He pledged that he was seeking an accord with them.- Dorian would be brought to Hollow Hill blindfolded.- There, he would meet with Nymella, who herself had fallen in with the Brotherhood on her own journey. The two would have a heartfelt reunion, and would swap their respective stories.- He would also mince again meet with his cousin Edric, who was Beric’s squire.- Nymella would introduce him once again to Beric and Thoros. He would inform them that he was looking for Sansa Stark, and that he believed she was in Riverrun with her mother’s uncle, The Blackfish.- He would join the Brotherhood without Banners, truly believing in their cause, on the condition that they try to find him a way to communicate with Brynden.- Dorian himself would participate in many raids and assaults, many of which were carrying supplies to keep the siege going, thus buying Brynden – and his sister – some time.- As time went on, Dorian would eventually find himself in High Heart, where he would meet with the Ghost of High Heart, who knew about his dreams.- After speaking with her, she would tell Dorian that he would find that which he seeks in the Vale of Arryn (idk something about where the mountains and the moon meet? It’s bloodraven telling her what to tell him.)- Returning from High Heart, Dorian would rejoin up with the Brotherhood, and would continue to fight alongside them.- He would learn from Thoros of Myr how to set swords on fire.
( Silvery-blue with Wildfire? Funky. )
- Eventually, Dorian would get his chance to speak with Brynden, meeting with him after the Brotherhood were able to set fire to the siege camp to cause a distraction.- Brynden would thank Dorian and his men for their help, but would inform him that Sansa was not her. He suggested that he try his luck at the Vale of Arryn, with Sansa’s aunt being regent of the Eyrie. He would give Dorian a letter confirming his identity as Knight of the Bloody Gate, baring The Blackfish’s seal.- Dorian would return to Hollow Hill once more frustrated, and would inform them that Sansa was not here and that all signs pointed to her being with her aunt, and so had to go there next.- He would ask his sister Nymella to join him, though upon seeing that she was not willing to do as he asked, and knowing that she would not return to Starfall, he asked Thoros and Beric to keep her safe. He would then take what supplies they could spare and would leave for the Bloody Gate.

SEASON 4 - 5

- Dorian would travel along the High Road into The Vale.- Along the way, he would be ambushed by a gang of tribesmen from the mountain clans. After a tense struggle, was saved by knights of the Vale who patrolled the High Road.- Following the fight, Dorian presented to them the letter he had been given by Brynden. They would then escort him to The Bloody Gates.- After much needed rest and a meal, they would inform Dorian of Lord Baelish's marriage to Lysa Arryn. Dorian found the timing suspicious, and knew The Eyrie was his next stop.- Dorian would journey to The Eyrie and would present himself to Lord Baelish, who was married to Lysa Arryn now. He would inform Dorian of Oberyn Martell’s passing, and would hint that he knew Dorian’s true parentage.- Despite this, he would be welcomed and given quarters as a guest of status.- It would be here that he would meet Alayne Stone, immediately seeing through her disguise and knowing it was Sansa.- Dorian would approach her and introduce himself to her, claiming that he saw right through her disguise but would keep her secret safe.- He would then inform her that they were related, relaying to her the story he was told about Ned and Ashara.- Dorian would then offer to bring her home with him to Starfall where she would be safe.- Knowing that it was a tough decision, Dorian left it with her and would return to his quarters. He would later discover that his conversation with her was overheard, and word of his status as the bastard son of Eddard Stark circulated around the court.- With his Stark lineage revealed (by Littlefinger), Dorian would receive a summons to Runestone, where he would be greeted by Yohn Royce, who was a friend of Ned. Dorian would then stay in Runestone, where he would realise that this was where the Ghost of High Heart wanted him to visit.- Dorian would be informed about the runes, with a daughter of Runestone telling him her theory about their significance and meaning.- This in turn made Dorian believe that the Long Night was real and that grave danger lay in wait towards the North.- Sansa’s own identity would be revealed following the death of Lysa Arryn, allowing Lord Baelish to take control.- Dorian would stay in Runestone for a time as a guest, becoming acclimated and familiar with the workings of politics in The Vale of Arryn, and with the Knights of the Vale. He would occasionally join them on the field if he was not at The Eyrie visiting his sister.- When Sansa and Petyr left for The Fingers, Dorian was at Runestone piecing everything he knew about his dreams and the long night together. He found the timing suspicious as not long ago he had asked her to come with him to Statfall, and wouldn’t learn that Sansa was missing again until they heard reports about Sansa’s marriage to Ramsay Bolton. Dorian, once again furious, intended to ride north after her, but caution was urged by Royce, who promised to confront Littlefinger when he returned. Dorian agreed and for a time remained in The Vale.

SEASON SIX.

- Dorian would be present at Runestone when Littlefinger arrived.- He, like everyone else, saw through the ruse but could do nothing.- When it was announced that the Knights of the Vale, Dorian opted to ride with them.- They left the Bloody Gate and rode for Moat Cailan, which they occupied and set up camp in.- Dorian, naturally mistrusting of Baelish, would follow him whilst he rode to Mole’s Town, though would wait outside when he met with whoever he was seeing.- There, he would overhear Baelish’s conversation with Sansa and learned what he did to her. When he left, Dorian ambushed him and began to strangle him, drawing Dawn on him when Sansa and Brienne of Tarth exited. Dorian would hesitate, and would leave with Sansa and Brienne to go to their camp.- Arriving with Sansa, Dorian would finally meet Jon Snow, whom he believed to be his half brother. He would promise them that he would lend them his sword in retaking Winterfell.- As they travelled The North in search of allies, Dorian would speak often with his half sibling, quickly growing fond of them despite the distance between them.- When the time came for the battle plans, and when Jon placed Davos in charge of the archers/reinforcements, Dorian was placed among them. When he asked about this, Jon confided in him that if he fell in battle and they lost, he needed someone he could trust to keep her safe. Dorian agreed to this.- When time came for battle, Dorian took his place in the ranks. He would give the word for the cavalry to rush after Jon when it was necessary, but would remain on the edge of the battlefield when the fight began.- As the battle progressed, Dorian decided that it was necessary that he ride to battle, having faith that he would not fall due to his dreams. He would rush after Jon with the archers.- Despite his skill surpassing any on the battlefield, the tides were only turned when the Knights of the Vale charged in to break the formation.- When Jon marched to Winterfell, Dorian stayed back and helped shore up the Boltons remaining, only arriving at Winterfell alongside his sister in time to see Jon standing victorious.- With the battle over, Dorian would waste little time in routing what remained of the Boltons, taking a contingent of Knights of the Vale to The Dreadfort to accept the surrender of those that remained. Many who surrendered were executed, and all the captives were set free and returned to Winterfell.- When he finally returned to Winterfell, he would finally have an opportunity to visit the crypt beneath Winterfell, finally being able to pay respects to his father.- He was also in time for the lords to meet. Present in the great hall, Dorian would witness Jon being crowned over Sansa, pledging fealty to his new king.

SEASON SEVEN.

- Dorian would slowly become acclimated to the role of the Bastard Prince, taking a commander’s position among the guardsmen at Winterfell. Using Royce knights and with Jon’s permission, he would begin training them more rigorously. He would remain a trusted confidante to both siblings.- When the letter demanded that the North submit to the rule of Daenerys Targaryen, Dorian would be selected to travel with Jon to Dragonstone due to his house’s familiarity with House Targaryen. Dorian would accept and would depart for White Harbor with him.- When they arrived on Dragonstone, they would be greeted by Tyrion Lannister, who would guide them to Daenerys.- He would use the time on Dragonstone wisely, with the two finally having a moment to talk after all these years. They would debate the topic of an independent North often.- Rather than participate in the mining operation proper, Dorian would use the time he had to meet with Daenerys’ advisors, several of whom he was already familiar with, as well as Daenerys herself.- He would also frequent the vast library on display, as well as write (in vain) to The Citadel to learn about the properties of Dragonglass/Obsidian.- Upon learning of the discovery in the cave, Dorian would recognise the runes as the very same ones that he saw in Runestone, confirming to Jon that there was once a First Men presence on Dragonstone.- He would immediately write to Winterfell to inform them of their discoveries and their progress.- When the expedition Beyond The Wall was decided upon, Dorian volunteered to go, believing that this was no doubt the task that he was being prepared for all this time.- He would join Jon and his men to Eastwatch-by-Sea, though would be sent back to Winterfell to inform Sansa of his intentions and to keep an eye on Littlefinger, with Jon believing he had been unsupervised for far too long.- Dorian would undertake the order, and returned to Winterfell with a sealed letter detailing Jon’s intent.- When he returned, he would finally reunite with Arya, who had already been informed by Sansa about his identity. She would also introduce him to Bran, who was well aware of Dorian’s journey and his dreams.- After giving Sansa Jon’s letter and reminding him not to trust Baelish, Dorian would resume his duties at Winterfell and would use the time he had to speak with Bran about his dreams and to Arya as to her whereabouts, learning that until she left Westeros he was closer to her than he expected.- He would also learn of Jon bending the knee to Daenerys from Sansa, and later of how the meeting with Cersei went. Dorian, much like Sansa, knew full well that she would never follow through with her part of the deal.- Dorian would be present in the great hall during the execution of Littlefinger, and following his death would prompt Yohn Royce to rally the knights of the Vale to Sansa’s banner now that he was the one in charge of them.- With Baelish dead, Dorian took it upon himself to burn the body, and resume preparations for the Long Night as per his instructions.

SEASON EIGHT.

- When Jon and Daenerys arrived at Winterfell, Dorian instructed the soldiers to stand in formation for their arrival, displaying The North’s strength.- He would inform Jon of Baelish's demise, though assured both of them that The Vale would remain loyal.- Dorian would allow Jon to get rest and reunite with his siblings while Dorian showed the Targaryen party around Winterfell and to their quarters himself, knowing that his siblings had much to talk about.- He would learn of Jon’s identity as Rhaegar Targaryen’s son from Jon himself.- Dorian would participate in the Battle of Winterfell, stationed in Winterfell itself. During the battle, he would light Dawn on fire with Wildfire as Thoros once did, using the blade to destroy a White Walker.- After a large funeral where they would burn all the bodies of the fallen, Dorian would be present for the celebration.- During the celebrations, and for his services in the name of unity, Daenerys naturalized Dorian, naming him Dorian Stark.- Dorian would then decide to stylise himself as The Sword of Winter, acknowledging and paying homage to his true identity.- Dorian would once again accompany Jon in the Battle of King’s Landing, in which forces from all sides would wreak havoc as Dragonfire destroyed much of the city.- Dorian would in turn slay many men from all sides as he did his best to shepard as many people out of the city as he could.- He would also be responsible for the deaths of Daenerys’ remaining Bloodriders.- When the battle was over and the city in ruin, Dorian watched from afar as Jon ascended the steps to Daenerys’ side. Once he heard both Winterfell and Dorne mentioned in her speech, Dorian knew what had to be done.- He would find Jon and Arya after the battle once Jon had come back from speaking with Tyrion, and would inform Jon what would have to happen if they wanted to save their home one more time.- He volunteered to do the deed himself, though Jon told him not to.- It wasn’t until he heard Drogon roaring that he knew what had happened, and rushed to the Throne room to witness what had happened with several of their own soldiers.- When he did, he quickly moved to apprehend Jon, stating to the approaching Unsullied force that he had replaced Jon as Head of House Stark and was apprehending him for treason, telling Grey-worm that he was to be spared and put on trial before a Great Council, as Daenerys died without an heir.- While tensions nearly erupted in the Throne Room over Jon’s deed, another fight was avoided, and Jon was escorted to the Black Cells, where Dorian would later apologize for doing what he did, saying that it was the only way to save Jon’s life.- Dorian would write to all corners of Westeros, informing them of Daenerys’ death and demanding that they come to King’s Landing so that they may decide upon a new ruler.- Dorian would then oversee a tense peace in the city, carrying out punishments on any who were recognised as having participated in the chaos of the previous weeks until the High Lords of Westeros arrived.

ENDGAME.

- Dorian would then return to Winterfell as Dorian Stark, and would continue to serve out his days as the Prince of Winterfell, seeing to it that the Kingdoms under Sansa’s rule (The North and Vale of Arryn) remained loyal, as well as convincing many of the river lords to swear fealty to Winterfell rather than King’s Landing.- He would be named as Sansa’s heir, due to her lack of children.- He would marry and father a son and daughter, with his son being raised as Heir to House Stark.- He would be named Lord of The Dreadfort, and Head of House Stark of the Dreadfort.- He would return home to Starfall to see his family once more, and while he was there would see to it that Darkstar trouble nobody ever again (assuming that mf survives)
